Uzbekistan and RIPE NCC are expanding their collaboration on the further development of Internet technologies and the strengthening of technical capacity

The meeting focused on expanding the use of IPv6 technology, strengthening network security and Internet stability, enhancing technical capacity, and strengthening cooperation with the regional and global Internet community.
The parties reviewed cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between Uzbekistan and RIPE NCC and welcomed the ongoing cooperation with stakeholders, including JSC "Uzbektelecom," regarding the expansion of IPv6 technology and relevant technical measures.
As has been noted, Uzbekistan has become one of the leading countries in Central Asia for implementing IPv6 technology, thanks to its efforts to prepare its networks for future digital services and the growing demand for the internet. The parties also highly valued the role of their close cooperation under the Memorandum of Understanding in supporting technical dialogue, capacity building, and collaboration with key stakeholders in the internet sector.
RIPE NCC emphasized the importance of IPv6 technology, network security, Internet measurement, and best practices in strengthening the resilience of networks, including government digital services and critical infrastructure support networks.
RIPE NCC also noted the availability of training programs, technical seminars, and international certification opportunities for internet specialists in Uzbekistan.
The parties expressed their readiness to further expand cooperation in areas within the mandate of the RIPE NCC, including Internet stability, expanding the use of IPv6, network security, capacity building, and Internet development.
